Captain Robert Falcon Scott was entitled to his own cubicle with space for shelves, books, and personal belongings. This is because the expedition ran like the navy and class was very important.
Scott would often spend his time writing in his diary (Scott, 2004). This build includes an exert from his diary, talking about the interior of Cape Evans.

Across from Scott were Lieutenant Edward Evans and Edward Wilson (Chief of Scientific Staff and Zoologist)
These two were entitled to more privacy than the other men, but a much smaller space than Scott.
