The Tenements

This area of the hut was home to Lieutenant Henry Bowers, Apsley Cherry-Gararrd (Assistant Zoologist), Captain Lawrence Oates, Cecil Meares (In charge of dogs), and Dr. Edward Atkinson.

Believe it or not, this area was a gift from Scott! He had given this to the officers and scientific staff because it was close to him and 'comfortable'.

Opposite the Tenements was the officer's table. This is considerably bigger. Scott would always be sat on the end. They would have celebrations around the table, for example for Scott's birthday. (I'm sure they wouldn't have stood on the table like these villagers though!)
